Wordpress is better, but...

Wix is a great website builder. Lots of functionality and built-in services that make it easy to plug-and-play most of the things you need for a site. Just like with any walled garden, there is quite alot that is restricted. They only recently added the the ability to add an ads.txt file, which caused us some major problems. I also find the drag/drop features quite restricting, as I am quite good at CSS. I have a hard time setting up servers and keeping a Wordpress site up to date, so it's nice that this is a no-think set-up. Avoid the "starter" plan, as it injects unwanted ads all over.
